2022 marks a year of big changes for the Khanna lab. We are excited to announce that we have joined the Department of Molecular Pathobiology at the NYU College of Dentistry. We are looking forward to many fruitful collaborations here.

Congrats to Niloufar, Liberty, David, Donald, and May on the successful publication of their article Aptamers Targeting Hallmark Proteins of Neurodegeneration recently published in Nucleic Acid Therapeutics! This review describes aptamers (short nucleic acid ligands) that have been developed against proteins relevant to neurodegenerative disease, including prion protein and amyloid beta, cell surface receptors and other cytoplasmic proteins. This review also describes advances in the application of these aptamers in imaging, protein detection, and protein quantification, and provides insights about their accelerated clinical use for disease diagnosis and therapy.
